This jigsaw puzzle is the stbd sponson Awaiting the roof console to be fitted XV677 at the start of the project As the parts were acquired, panels were fitted Crew access stairs pre repair Crew access stairs before their repair First part of the repair completed Done and dusted, looking as good as new The bow door just after the rebuild was started Start of the tailcone rebuild The crew access door just needs a new paint job now Bow door built and fitted Halfway through the tailcone rebuild More panels and glazing are fitted Tailcone finished and painted Tailcone fitted Stbd sponson aft bulkheads in place The sponson grows a little more The sponsons forward bulkhead in place We can now start to reskin the sponson Most of the sponson reskining is complete just the stubwing to finish The sponson is almost complete but for some minor work This jigsaw puzzle is the tail pylon First part done, top and bottom skins fixed in place The hinge units and tail rotor gearbox mounting are now fixed in place Job almost finished, just needs a rub down and a paint Job done, just needs to be fitted Pylon & stabiliser ready to be fitted Pylon & stabiliser in place Stbd servicing platform painted & fitted 677 slowly starting to look like a Sea King again The FoD guard painted and fitted Port servicing platform now in place Stbd sponson almost ready to fit Stbd sponson ready to go on Stbd sponson now fitted The port sponson repaired, painted & fitted. Head on, XV677 on her two feet again. Tail rotor gearbox in place, just waiting for the rotor head Rear undercarriage now in place XV677 as of 11-02-2009 One down two more fairings to do The aft driveshaft fairing now in place XV677 as of 04-03-2009 All 3 fairings now in place, just some painting required Now looking a little more cared for Roof console fitted and now live Instrument panel & interseat console fitted and almost complete
